As someone who’s mid-to-plus-sized with an endless love for vintage fashion from the 1960s and 1970s, I’ve always struggled with finding secondhand clothing from these periods that fit my body as they should. For the last 5 years, sewing patterns, along with learning how to draft/alter/grade them, renewed my interest in dressing how I want on the body that I have.

I started “mariaclarapatterns” out of a desire to provide other sewers vintage patterns that are slowly falling out of circulation. My goal is to have these patterns graded to sizes that work for everyone in today’s world, and to have these patterns digital to ease up the struggles of working with flimsy tissue paper and envelopes. With the growing reliance on computer-based applications CREATED BY HUMANS and for purposes within the fashion industry, I wanted to intersect the two.

Thanks a bunch, and I hope you find a design you love from “mariaclarapatterns”!
