As of typing, I’m looking into having projector support for vintage sewing patterns listed through ‘mariaclarapatterns’. I’ve already gone the digitization route for the physical tissue paper patterns, so why not… projectors?
The plan right now is to find a basic model that encapsulates what the everyday, hobbyist sewer makes use of. My surface of choice will be a folding sewing table that I already, and regularly use, most significantly to test the alignment of my multi-paged A4-format patterns on. I do recognize the inherent learning curve “Projector Sewing” presents, but there’s nothing more I want to do than to be involved with whatever new and ethical adoptions the sewing community has embraced.
Taking on the perspective of a typical sewing consumer, which I have long been for several years now, “Projector Sewing” in my eyes hits two birds with one stone: saving time and saving paper. I appreciate how this forgoes the requirements for paper sizes or the assembly of printed patterns altogether.
…I also understand the irony of this considering my listings have predominantly focused on printed materials so far. I’d just like to keep all avenues open for any and every enthusiast of vintage mid-century patterns.
